Triage done for them, so clinics can do the law.

An AI-powered legal triage and intake system for university law clinics. It assesses problems, identifies whether a case falls within scope, and prepares structured briefs for supervising solicitors, so scarce legal capacity goes further.

Live with law clinics

A clinic runs on limited hours and goodwill.

University law clinics and law centres give scarce legal time to people who have nowhere else to turn. Yet the first conversation with a client arrives unstructured, and too often a lawyer has to re-interview just to learn the facts.

Intake forms do not solve it. People in distress, or who would never fill in a legal form, drop out before the clinic ever hears their story. What reaches a supervising solicitor is a half-empty file and a queue.

An intake assistant that turns the first conversation into a checked case record.

01

A plain-language conversation

The assistant asks one or two questions at a time and listens. It recognises civil matters in England and Wales, redirects what the clinic cannot take, and points anyone in immediate danger to 999 or 101 first. It never gives legal advice.

  • Conversational intake
  • Scope detection
  • Safeguarding
02

A quality check before the desk

A reviewing agent checks every record against a domain-specific checklist. If an essential fact is missing, a date, a party, a key event, the assistant goes back and asks. The client reads and approves the full record before anything is sent.

  • Completeness review
  • Client approval
  • Data minimisation
03

A triaged record and a clinic dashboard

What lands with the lawyer is complete and structured: the legal domain, the facts in the client's words, parties, key dates, documents and the desired outcome. One board for every case, so handovers do not mean starting over.

  • Structured case record
  • Kanban and table views
  • Per-clinic isolation

Built for the way clinics actually work.

Never legal advice

Parity gathers facts and names a domain. It never assesses the merits or advises on strategy; that stays with the supervising solicitor.

Private by default

Each clinic sees only its own cases. Isolation is enforced at the database, and the assistant asks only what triage needs.

Honest about scope

Criminal, family, immigration and social housing matters are signposted to the right help with next steps, not quietly dropped.

Six civil domains

Employment, private rented housing, contract and consumer, property and neighbour, debt and enforcement, negligence and injury.

What changed

One conversation

The client tells their story once, in their own words, and is never re-interviewed to establish the facts.

Approved by the client

Every record is read and confirmed by the client before the clinic receives it.

Complete files

The completeness review goes back for missing facts, so the first time a lawyer opens a file the work is the law.
